The umbrella term ‘work placement’ encompasses a myriad of greatly differing experiences. The key to navigating an appropriate course through all the possibilities and identifying what most closely fits your requirements and aspirations is to ask yourself a series of questions, not just about the nature of the work you seek, but also the timescale, environment, benefits and general practicalities.
