  • Rob Rollison

Abstract

Peter Levi’s poetry first drew my eye in 1961 as I thumbed through an anthology of contemporary poetry edited by Elizabeth Jennings:

a hexagon resting on pure light

where mind can shoot to any height

or in a ripe curve down the leaded dome

dissolve in mere formality

of that grave, simple century

that here for a mind at peace hung this home
