Abstract

One of the writers who has put Indian writing in English on the international map, Vikram Seth (born 1952) won the Sahitya Akademi award for his verse novel The Golden Gate (1986). He has published a novel, A Suitable Boy, four books of poems, a travelogue, and a libretto. He divides his time between New Delhi and London.
