Strategy and Partnership in the Pittsburgh Region
This chapter, and chapter five, are based on research carried out between late 1996 and late 1998. This chapter shows that in Southwestern Pennsylvania the external economic and political environment of local government has produced a variety of strategic public policy responses and a complex interorganisational landscape. Chapter five covers urban regeneration and community involvement in local economic development in Pittsburgh and surrounding areas.
