Analysing the Data

Abstract

A chaotic mass of paper strewn over the desk is not the trap you want to fall into when you begin to analyse the data that you have collected. In a small-scale research study it is important that you plan how you propose to analyse your data at the same time as you plan how you are going to gather it. Data should be recorded in a format that facilitates the easiest possible analysis, so the decisions you made earlier in your research process will have a crucial impact on how long or short, easy or frustrating the analysis is.
