Abstract

This chapter undertakes a comparative analysis of poverty in three East European countries (Bulgaria, Hungary, Poland) and three countries of the former Soviet Union (FSU) (Estonia, Kyrgyz republic, Russia), using the HEIDE database discussed in the preface.
