Abstract
The changing global business landscape has created tremendous disruption in many traditional industries and launched new wealth-creating opportunities that could hardly have been imagined a few years ago. At the time of this writing, it appears that continued changes in financial markets, geopolitical stability, and technology will require that businesses innovate to cope with and capitalize on these changes. Businesses that were once only local now find themselves competing with global competitors and must find ways to deliver new products and services to maintain their market position. Others find that new technologies offer an opportunity to serve the needs of those on the other side of the planet, not just those in a local, regional, or national community. It will take courage to take on the business challenges the future will present.
