Abstract

In this monograph, we have presented two series of our research results on industrial process identification and control system design. The contents are divided into two parts. Part I (Process Identification) presents a series of continuous-time model identification methods for describing the dynamic response characteristics of open-loop stable, integrating, and unstable industrial processes. The widely practiced step response test and relay feedback test have been considered for developing the proposed identification methods, together with robust identification methods that allow for unsteady or unknown initial process conditions and load disturbance in practical applications.
