Accessories for Your NexStar

It certainly doesn’t take long before most amateur astronomers discover that their new telescope came with just enough to get them started. While you won’t need every accessory introduced in this chapter, I bet you will end up with a few of them. My best advice is to take your time and only buy things that you seem to feel are lacking when you are actually out under the stars. If possible, join an astronomy club. Chances are one of the members has the item you are considering and will allow you to try it out before you. If this isn’t possible, do some research on Internet, in magazines, and in books. Refer to Appendix A for the web site addresses of retailers and manufacturers mentioned in this chapter.
