Abstract

As discussed in the last chapter, a good tool for deciding what you would like to observe is planetarium software. The little NexStars (60/80/114/4) include a CD with TheSky Level I from Software Bisque. Other models of NexStars have occasionally included TheSky as well. While this program can be very useful in planning an observing session, there are so many features that it is somewhat confusing to use. A complete user’s guide is copied to your computer during installation, but most do not seem to spend much time reading the more than ninety pages provided. This chapter will present a clear overview of the most useful features with a much shorter reading requirement.
