Characterising the Impact of Toxic Emissions on Human Targets in the Proximity of an Industrial Site

This work presents a simplified procedure allowing to determine the impact on human beings deriving from the emission of toxic substances. The toxic substances are grouped based on their toxicity and on the storage and/or operating conditions, allowing to derive simple power law expressions for the concentration profiles and the probability of lethality for the exposed population, for different amounts of released product.
