The INTEPSA information system is a PSA-based integrated system for the resolution, fast indication, and prognosis of residual risks from severe accidents. The system is designed to accommodate and integrate the entire PSA database from PSA Level 1 inputs to offsite consequences. Such a tool is of benefit not only for emergency preparedness, but also for operator training in plant and containment response, optimizing Accident Management (AM) measures, and potential use as an aid to risk-based decision-making by plant management, or as an educational tool.
