Abstract

In order to enhance mutual understanding among participants in social decision-making, two electronic discussion systems were developed. A Position-Oriented Discussion System has an interface to visualize positions of participants in discussion. A Transcript Summarization System can extract topics and make summaries from discussion records. The usefulness of the both systems was tested using some actual meeting records or experimental discussions.
