Abstract
The semi-markov model of the system operation processes is proposed and its selected parameters are determined. Various methods of reliability improvement for a renewal series system are considered and its availability characteristics are found. Next, the joint model of the system operation process and the system availability is constructed. Finally, the application of the joint model to the port grain transportation system availability improvement is proposed.
