Abstract
The purpose of the fire risk analysis approach herein proposed is to provide a fire-safety analyst with a decisional tool aimed at directing hisIher design choices in order to reduce the risk of fire outbreak and its propagation. D’Appolonia has developed a methodology for the analysis and the assessment of risk relevant to the containment of damage and fire during HSC operations, suitable for application at the early stages of design. The design options involved in the risk model are represented by the different “status” of the parameters influencing the fire resistance of bulkhead and the reaction to the fire of furnishings.
