Increasing demands on the reliability and lifetime of mechanical systems like commercial vehicle transmissions and their components, with simultaneous demands for low costs, require efficient methods for the reliability demonstration test. Within the reliability demonstration test it must be possible to prove the reliability of transmissions for field usage in a short time with few specimens at the test bench [1].
