Abstract

A 45-year-old male inpatient, being treated for alcohol-induced chronic pancreatitis, complained of sudden-onset severe abdominal pain associated with tachycardia and falling haemoglobin. The patient was presumed to be bleeding into the abdomen and a contrast-enhanced MDCT was performed (Images 1 and 2 Axial, non-contiguous, CTs of the upper abdomen).
