Abstract

A 74-year-old man presented to his GP with left leg swelling. A Doppler US was performed and the deep veins of the left leg and thigh were patent with no thrombus. An US of the abdomen revealed a solid mass adjacent to the aorta, and therefore a CT was performed (Images 1a and b).
