Abstract
This chapter is devoted to the notion of regular closure operator that can well claim to be the oldest concept in the theory of categorical closure operators. As a matter of fact, regular closure operators were invented before the current notion of closure operator was formulated. In order to deal with this important concept, we need to make a further assumption.
