Compound Cassegrain Telescopes
Very efficient optical configurations can be obtained for astronomical telescopes by combining one of the correctors described in the previous chapter with the Cassegrain scheme. Depending on the corrector chosen, a Schimdt–Cassegrain, Houghton–Cassegrain or Maksutov–Cassegrain telescope is obtained (see Figure 6.1).
