Abstract
31.1.1. From now on, R will be a fixed commutative ring with 1, with a given invertible element v. We shall regard R as an A-algebra via the ring homomorphism \(\phi \,A \to R\) such that \(\phi (\upsilon ^n ) = {\rm{v}}^n \) for all n\( \in \) Z.
