Previous chapters have included many examples of maps using graphical rational patterns, (GRP), and representing various types of goesets, and from these we have been able to see how GRP maps can help in overcoming the difficulties in presenting long series of data that are detailed by many localities or by irregular territorial units. We found the integration to be of value, inter alia, for exploratory purposes, for a first orientation in research, for more in-depth analysis, and for comparing goesets and formulating hypotheses concerning ther determinants.
