Abstract
There has been a tremendous surge of interest recently in mobile computing and communications. The emergence of relatively sophisticated, low-power, low-cost and portable computing platforms, coupled with the availability and exploitation of wireless spectrum, has opened exciting opportunities for making a wide variety of applications available to people on the move.
