Abstract
Jefferies’ Calcichordate Theory is the subject of this chapter. In this section I shall describe the general features of carpoids in a little more detail than I did in Chapter 1, with some discussion of how their features have been interpreted by Jefferies and other authors. I shall also review the main features of Jefferies’ ideas, before going on to discuss his research in depth later in the chapter.
