Abstract
Patient satisfaction is dependent on more than just a favorable anatomic result. Good communication with the patient during the entire process is essential, making certain that you have the opportunity to hear and address the patient’s concerns and to be sure that the patient and you are “on the same page.” This chapter provides invaluable advice regarding how to optimize the surgeon-patient relationship and increase the chances of a happy patient postoperatively.
