Thermodynamics of Inelasticity
This chapter is devoted to the manager of the huge manufactory of thermoinelastic Processes—the second law of thermodynamics [Nem75]. Although a sound definition of the most fundamental items like temperature and entropy is not yet well established for thermodynamic processes we have to deal with them in order to hear the orders of this manager.
The subject is so comprehensive that here the most practical point of view must be taken: what are the consequences of the second law that must not be forgotten and how to use them in formulating constitutive equations?
