Abstract
Scratch resistant coatings on glasses and plastics are very important for the automobile industry. The windscreen in particular is exposed to considerable influences such as particle impact and abrasion through dust by the windscreen wiper or an ice scratcher. An increase of damage to the windscreen leads to light scattering, which reduces the driver’s view and endangers the security of all the road-users.
