Abstract
Lung transplantation is an effective although imperfect therapy for end-stage lung disease. As medical therapeis improve the prognosis of patients with pulmonary hypertension, use of lung transplantation for primary pulmonary hypertension has declined. Nonetheless, it remains the last life-saving option for properly selected candidates. This chapter will review the surgical aspects of lung transplantation for pulmonary hypertension.
