Converters with Orthogonal Structure Orientation

Excitation of electromagnetic waves in a thin-plate multilayered bigyrotropic structure by extraneous point sources located on its end surface is considered. The structure is screened by impedance surfaces. Strip-line and wave devices with their layered structures orthogonally oriented to the plane of the sources fall into such a type of converters. Expressions were derived. They permit investigating key parameters of such converters with due account of the features of the millimeter range. As well as for the parallel orientation, the problem is solved by the method of tensor Green functions with using of the coupling matrices of multilayered bigyrotropic structures. These matrices allow determination of Green's functions in any layer of the structure in the approach of given sources. A matrix equation for a given extraneous current has been derived in the first approximation. The integral equation considers the back influence of the field of excited waves on the sources. The...
