Abstract

The celestial river Eridaus, which meanders from the celestial equator down to the horizon and ends deep in the southern sky in the vicinity of the south celestial pole, is the 6th largest constellation in the sky. From the mid-northern latitudes only its northern part is visible, i.e., from next to Orion onward.
