Abstract

In this chapter you get reviews of length, mass, time, velocity, acceleration, momentum, and energy along with accounts of their characteristic physical dimensions and the units used to describe them quantitatively. You get a review of angle measure with particular emphasis on the radian and its use. And you get two important tips: how to check the consistency of physics equations, and how to work efficiently with SI prefixes.
