The complexity reached by organizations over the last years has deeply changed the role of Knowledge Management. Today, it is not possible to take care of knowledge involved in decision making processes without taking care of social context where it is produced. In this paper a conceptual and computational framework to acquire and represent both social and know-how knowledge is presented based on an integration of case—based techniques and storytelling methodology. The result is the possibility to exploit a unique knowledge structure, named Complex Knowledge Structure (CKS) to model knowledge about a decisional process to solve a problem (i.e. the story) from both the problem solving and communication among people involved viewpoints.
