If the fragile planet has a future, that future will come primarily from leveling the playing field. In Chapters 6 and 7, we discussed that the leveling of the playing field is very much dependent on creation of entrepreneurial cultures in third world countries. Entrepreneurs, unlike their industrial giant counterparts, can reach out to the forgotten majority (Samli 2004) because they are closer to consumers, more sensitive to consumer needs, more flexible and more responsive to market changes. But above all, emphasizing the development of an entrepreneurial culture would help to nullify the ill effects of the greed factor by replacing it with the ambition factor.

In Chapter 7, the specific conditions for the development of an entrepreneurial culture are spelled out. But a culture of entrepreneurship requires the presence of numerous conditions that are costly.
