Entrepreneurship in Medical Device Technologies
At the outset, I wish to candidly state that I am not an entrepreneur in the league of Richard Ferrari or Thomas Fogarty, who are considered to be prolific giants in the realm of medical device entrepreneurship. However, I am sharing my story and passion for the field, presenting some basic methodologies to select and run a project, and to maybe, somehow, influence talented individuals to join the field of bioengineering that I chose and love.
I was a young teenager when I started to think about what I wanted to become in life. Like many other kids, I did not really know what I wanted to do, and I was not exposed to many professionals with some kind of a special success story in the business world. Indeed, there was not much diversity in my little town of Chibougamau, located at the geographic center of the province of Quebec, Canada. My home town was very far from everything.
