Electromagnetic Values in CGS and SI Systems of Units

Because we use the CGS system in the book, it is expedient to make a brief comparison of main ratios of electromagnetic theory, represented in the SGS and SI systems.

Maxwell’s equations in CGS system of units:
$$ \begin{array}{ll} &\hbox{rot}\, \vec {E} = - \frac{1}{c}\frac{\partial \vec {B}}{\partial t},\\ &\hbox{rot}\, \vec {H} = \frac{1}{c}\frac{\partial \vec {D}}{\partial t} + \frac{4\pi }{c}\vec {j},\\ &\hbox{div}\, \vec {D} = 4\pi \rho ,\\ &\hbox{div}\, \vec {B} = 0, \end{array} $$
