MC is a 13-year-old girl who had recurring headaches and complained of some aching around her eyes when she exerted herself. She was noted to have a mild violaceous swelling around her eyes. A-scan revealed several prominent spikes from the ethmoid-maxillary complex (Fig. 108). She was started on antibiotics, decongestants, and nasal sprays and improved over a few days. Repeat examination showed a reduction in the number and height of the spikes. Further imaging studies were not felt to be necessary because of the clinical response.
