Infantile Hemangioma

MT is a 2-month-old girl who was born with a bluish lesion near her lower right punctum. It grew in size over several weeks and her pediatrician urgently referred her to a pediatric ophthalmologist with the diagnosis of a probable dacriocystocele. The ophthalmologist was prepared to take her to surgery that day to decompress the cystocele but questioned the diagnosis on clinical examination. She was referred on an urgent basis for echography.
