Abstract

Our commission of inquiry dreams of travelling back in time, to see if the fine-structure constant has varied in the past. To this day, the only time machine we have is the observation of the cosmos, and we can look deeply into space to reveal the universe as it was billions of years ago. We shall now turn our attention to outer space, so bring out the telescopes!
