  • Jerry Nelson
Part of the Springer Praxis Books book series (PRAXIS)

Abstract

HUMANS ARE inquisitive and visual creatures. What we ‘see’ is probably our most important sensory input, and much of what we learn and know is expressed in visual images and expressions. Our objective understanding of our environment comes from pictures of it, including what we can see with the naked eye, what we can see with microscopes and what we can see with telescopes.
