For the purchase of a new telescope I found a local supplier, David Hinds, who was the proprietor of the first proper telescope shop that I had seen. David advised that I purchase an 8″ Celestron reflector, which was electrically driven. This was rather more complicated than the Zeiss Jenna, since for good results it had to be accurately leveled and polar aligned each time it was set up.
