Cerebral Cortex

  • Histology: The cerebral cortex is formed of six layers: Molecular → external granular → external pyramidal → internal granular → internal pyramidal → multiform.

  • Hemispheres: The dominant hemisphere in most humans is the left, and it serves for speech and language, while the right hemisphere serves other functions.
