Abstract
In summary the presented field of human factors is spread over a wide range of topics. They cover the analysis of sports techniques as shown in the contribution of Okuba and Hubbard who investigate the flight of a basketball under different conditions or with Marmo, Buckingham, and Blackford who explore sweeping styles in curling with an ergometer brush. The questions of three further articles deal with the needs, intentions, and requirements of people using sports equipment. Meyer wants to find out differences between cyclists in Germany and Japan, Strehler, Hasenkopf and Moritz investigate wishes and requests of older people in the field of sports and physical activity and Carré and McHutchon explore the perception of qualitative and physical properties of hockey sticks.
