5.9 Conclusion
The structural model presented here explains relations between large sets of variables in different groups. It turned out that on the whole a model that takes attitudes as the dependent variable and Contact, Proficiency and Family Background as independent variables best explains the data. This appeared to be true for the total group and for the six subgroups, though there were some differences on specific variables for individual subgroups.
