Abstract
Six years ago ImageBuilder Software chose to develop an object-oriented, cross-platform, multimedia framework to promote code reuse and therefore increase profits. Today, it continues to be used and extended; it is profitable and a major company asset. This paper documents how it was developed, describes how we use it today, evaluates its success, and makes recommendations for others based on our experience.
