Selection of Pulses Having a Constant Carrier-Envelope Phase from a Relatively Noisy Mode-Locked Oscillator

  • Chapter
Book cover Ultrafast Optics IV

Abstract

This paper demonstrates a method that enables us to select pulses with the same carrier-envelope phase. This method, which selects pulses based on both the phase of the carrier-envelope offset beat signal and the pulse-repetition timing, is robust against large carrier-envelope offset fluctuations. This method relieves the required accuracy of the carrier-envelope offset beat stabilization for seeding the amplification system.
