Abstract
In this chapter, various modulation techniques, including those employing constant and non-constant envelope signaling formats are presented. Commonly used modulation schemes, such as Phase Shift Keying (PSK), Quadrature Amplitude Modulation (QAM) and Continuous Phase Modulation (CPM) and several coded modulation techniques are studied. Their performance in various channel environments, including Additive White Gaussian Noise (AWGN) and fading, is also presented.
