The Transition

Abstract

During the clinical years in medical school, you were gradually becoming a physician. Now you are an intern or resident. Veritably overnight, you must now devote your entire being to the profession that you have chosen. This part of your education can be very daunting, and if not taken seriously, can affect the rest of your career or even put a sudden stop to it. Whether you like it or not, once you received that diploma, and your family and friends addressed you as “doctor,” your life changed forever.
