The discussion of current injection principles presented in Chapter 3 indicated that the main reason for degradation of the input current total harmonic distortion (THD) in three-phase diode bridge rectifiers are the gaps in the input currents that occur during the intervals the corresponding input voltage is neither minimal nor maximal among the three of the supply voltages.
