Abstract

Upon completion of the chapter, the student will be able to:

    Explain the rationale behind the comprehensive geriatric assessment (CGA).

  2. 2.

    Enumerate the components of the CGA and the process of care.

  3. 3.

    Identify the members of the CGA team and understand their corresponding roles in the team.

  4. 4.

    Identify the various assessment instruments used to evaluate the different components or dimensions of the CGA.
