Abstract
For most people the inner workings of a television are a mystery, but that does not stop them from using and enjoying television. In the same way, it is not necessary to understand all the details of computer technology before it can be used to great advantage. This chapter is intended to give an adequate but not exhaustive understanding of computers, thus enabling the reader to take confident advantage of whatever computer technology is available.
